The area that 1kg of cold galvanizing compound coating can be sprayed on is mainly determined by three core parameters: dry film thickness, volume solid content, and construction loss rate.
The area that 1kg of cold galvanizing compound coating can be sprayed on is mainly determined by three core parameters: dry film thickness, volume solid content, and construction loss rate. According to the industry's general calculation formula and actual parameters, the specific calculation is as follows:
1. Theoretical Coating Rate Calculation
Calculation formula :
Theoretical coating rate (m²/kg) = (volume solid content × 10) / (dry film thickness × coating density)
Volume solid content: The proportion of effective film-forming substances in cold-dip galvanizing paint (usually 60%-80%).
Dry film thickness: The recommended anti-corrosion film thickness is generally 40-120μm.
Coating density: The density of cold-dip galvanizing is about 2.8kg/L.

2. Area Reference Under Different Film Thicknesses
Thick coating anticorrosion (80μm) :
The theoretical coating rate is about 2.0-2.5m²/kg.
Standard anticorrosion (60μm) :
The theoretical coating rate is about 3.0-3.5m²/kg .
Thin coating application (40μm) :
The theoretical coating rate can reach 3.5-4m²/kg .

III. Precautions
1. Influence of zinc content : Cold-dip galvanized coatings with zinc powder content below 96% may result in reduced anti-corrosion performance, so products with high zinc content should be given priority .
2. The actual construction needs to consider the loss rate ( usually 20%-40%, related to the construction method and substrate shape).
3. Construction verification : It is recommended to confirm the actual amount through a small area test spray to avoid large deviations between the theoretical value and the actual value .
