The necessity of steel structure anticorrosion in power industry

The power industry presents extreme operational challenges, with high-temperature and highly corrosive environments causing traditional coatings to fail through cracking, blistering, and delamination. This is particularly evident in flue gas desulfurization (FGD) systems, where critical components - absorbers, scrubbers, duct outlets, mixing chambers, and flues - face aggressive corrosion from acid condensates, chlorides, and abrasive wear.

These corrosive mechanisms are accelerated by thermal cycling, dew point fluctuations, wet-dry transitions, high gas velocities, and concentrated sulfate/fluoride/chloride solutions, leading to severe pitting and crevice corrosion in stainless steel components.
