The 8th International Marine Anti-Corrosion and Anti-Fouling Forum (IFMCF2023) was held on April 26-28, 2023 in Ningbo - Pan Pacific Hotel.

This year's forum is oriented to industrial needs, focusing on key application directions such as marine clean energy development equipment, marine transportation equipment, and marine aquaculture equipment. Inviting experts from enterprises, universities, and research institutes to work together to form a high-level industry-academia-research-application exchange platform. The participants exchanged and cooperated extensively on the current situation of industrial development, corrosion protection technology, and end-user needs.

Report Abstract:

Traditional epoxy zinc-rich anticorrosion system, which is widely used in the marine industry, has a low utilization rate of zinc powder and oxidizes easily during corrosion, which cannot provide long-lasting anticorrosion. At the same time, epoxy zinc-rich performance and construction have irreconcilable technical defects, the use of large amounts of zinc powder, results in a brittle paint film, there is a risk of easy cracking, especially at the corners, welded seams common coating cracking, rust, also lead to the inability to provide long-term protection.

CAS ultra-long-lasting graphene zinc heavy anti-corrosion coating technology, the use of high-quality thin-layer graphene with excellent impermeability, mechanical strength, and electrical conductivity, coating corrosion resistance is 2-3 times that of traditional coatings, increasing the toughness of the coating. In terms of coating construction, it solves the problem of corner and weld cracking, reduces the weight of the coating, as well as reduces the first investment and whole life cycle costs. Graphene zinc anticorrosion coating technology saves zinc powder resources, reduces energy consumption, and reduces carbon emissions, and will play an important role in marine engineering anticorrosion applications in the future.

ZINDN's high-performance graphene zinc coating is prepared using PUS pure thin graphene technology and COLD SPRAY technology, which was developed with Dr. Liu Liwei's team from the Chinese Academy of Sciences over many years and is the core of the new coating's long-lasting corrosion protection. COLD SPRAY technology completely solves the many problems of graphene system dispersion and storage.
