ZINDN is a one pack galvanizing coating that contains 96% zinc dust in the dry film and providing both cathodic and barrier protections of ferrous metals.

It can be used as not only a unique system to be an alternative anticorrosion performance to hot-dip galvanizing, but as primer in a duplex system or three-layer ZINDN coating system.

It can be applied by spraying, brushing or rolling on a clean and rough metal substrate in a wide range of atmospheric circumstances.

Description

ZINDN is a one pack galvanizing coating that contains 96% zinc dust in the dry film and providing both cathodic and barrier protections of ferrous metals.

It can be used as not only a unique system to be an alternative anticorrosion performance to hot-dip galvanizing, but as primer in a duplex system or three-layer ZINDN coating system.

It can be applied by spraying, brushing or rolling on a clean and rough metal substrate in a wide range of atmospheric circumstances.

Cathodic protection

In electrochemical corrosion, the metal zinc and steel are in contact with each other, and the zinc with a lower electrode potential is used as the anode, which continuously loses electrons and is corroded, that is, the sacrificial anode; while the steel itself is used as the cathode, which only transfers electrons and does not change itself, so it is protected

The zinc content in ZINDN galvanizing layer is over 95%, and the purity of the zinc dust used is as high as 99.995%. Even though the galvanizing layer is slightly damaged, the iron under the zinc layer will not rust until the zinc is consumed completely, and meanwhile, it can effectively prevent the spread of rust.

Barrier protection

The special reaction mechanism makes ZINDN galvanizing layer can be further self-sealed with the passage of time after application, forming a dense barrier, effectively isolating corrosion factors, and greatly improving the anti-corrosion ability.
ZINDN combines the characteristics of two anti-corrosion properties into one, breaking through the limitation of pigment-base ratio of conventional coatings, and obtaining excellent long-term anti-corrosion ability.

Degreasing and decontamination
Surface oil stains should be cleaned by low-pressure spray or soft brush with a special cleaner, and all residues should be rinsed off with a fresh water gun, or treated with lye, flame, etc., and rinsed with fresh water until neutral. Small areas of oil stains can be scrubbed with solvents.

Surface treatment
Use sandblasting or electric tools and hand tools to remove the rust, protrusions, and peeling parts on the surface, especially the rusty parts, and the rough parts are smoothed by welding.

Mixture
ZINDN is a single component product. After opening the barrel, needs to be stir completely with a power tool.
Dilute ratio 0-5%; due to the difference in temperature and spray pump pressure, the actual addition of thinner is based on actual situation.

Application
Brushing and rolling: non-shedding paint brushes and roller cores are recommended, and use the criss-cross method to evenly coat to ensure good penetration, and pay attention to prevent sagging and unevenness.
Spraying: spray pump with a compression ratio of about 1:32, and keep the spray equipment clean.
Z-type nozzle is recommended, keep the spray width about 25cm, the nozzle is perpendicular to the workpiece at 90°C, and the gun distance about 30cm.
Suggest to spray by 2 coatings layers, After the surface of the first time is dry, spray the second time, reciprocate the gun 2 times, and apply to the specified film thickness according to the requirements.
